Mandingo Bay Warriors

Mandingo Bay Warriors are an afro music group under Hush Records/ Entertainments based in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Comprised Malombo Lekgwarakgwara, Iboga Paupale, Dikembe Mutombo and their mascot the Pum Pum warrior with notable appearances from other overseas members. The group specialise in afro music inspired by the likes of Brenda Fassie, Issac Hayes,Fela Kuti, Muddy waters and Papa Wemba. While they find influences from lots of different sounds heritage, they blend genres with a mixed craftsmanship to create a unique fusion dance vibe. Seasoned performers, the Warriors are characterised with wowing the crowds using energetic live performance. Hailing from Mafeteng Lesotho, Bulawayo Zimbabwe and Kibiito Uganda, the trio pride themselves on powerful, energetic filled performances with Afro-Fusion sound; mashing genres such as afro-hop, ragga rhythms and hip-hop to create their rather unique sound. Mandingo Bay Warriors are seasoned live performers, having showcased at Harambe Festival, Sunderland Airshow, Leeds Carnival and Mela Festival to name but a few.
