Shamim Murerwa popularly known as Omega 256 is a Ugandan singer, song writer and recording artist. She is the Biggest Female artist from Western Uganda. She rose to popularity after her hit single Keeza which reached the top 20 songs on Radio in Kampala.
Omega 256 was born was born on September 27, 1999 in Kakoba Mbarara where she lived throughout her childhood before starting her childhood education. Omega 256’s tribe is a Munyankole from the Banyakole Tribe where she was born and raised. Omega 256’s real name is Shamim Murerwa with origins from Ankole region where her parents were born.
Omega 256 studied from Sentah College Mbarara where she finished her High school education receiving her UCE Certificate for her Ordinary level of education. She also studied Primary in Mbarara at Shalom Keben Primary School.
Omega 256 started singing in 2018 where she produced her first record Weekend which was later released in January 2019 with the Video in the same year. She followed Weekend with her hit single Chamuk
She is the Biggest Female artist in Western Uganda. She is the only urban artist competeting among several male artist that have taken over control of the Western Uganda music industry including Ray G and T Paul.
